Birthing Pupukea Lux

Pūpūkea Lux was not born in a studio or a boardroom. It was born quietly and softly in the same place where so many meaningful things begin, my kitchen, my heart, my home.

For years as an independent mother, I learned how to weave strength with softness, resilience with surrender, & purpose with presence. My days were filled with caring for my son, rebuilding life from the ground up, & learning how to choose intention over urgency. Lighting candles became more than a moment of relaxation. It became a grounding ritual, a breath, a prayer.

Slowly & naturally, the vision grew.
I began pouring candles late at night, blending fragrances between naptime, & dreaming about creating something that honored family, ancestry, & the healing power of slowing down.

Pūpūkea Lux came to life through all of this, through devotion, gratitude, motherhood, & the deep knowing that ritual is medicine.

As I prepare to welcome identical twin daughters into the world, this brand continues to evolve with me. Motherhood is expanding, my family is growing, & I am learning once again how to make space for new beginnings. Pūpūkea Lux is my offering to this season, a reflection of purpose, partnership, & the kind of life I want to live with my children & partner.

Every candle carries this story.
Every ritual piece whispers a reminder to breathe.
Every fragrance honors where we come from & what we hope to become.

This brand is a love letter, to my ʻohana, to the land that sharpened me, to the woman I am becoming, & to everyone who is seeking more presence, grounding, & meaning in the everyday.

Thank you for being here, for reading this, for walking alongside me as Pūpūkea Lux grows.
May these lights return you to what matters most.

With aloha and gratitude,
Heather Young
