Creating Rituals That Ground You

I believe the way we begin & end our days shapes everything in between.
Rituals are more than routines they’re sacred containers for energy, devotion, & direction. They help us stay rooted in who we are & who we’re becoming.

For me, grounding rituals are how I return home to myself, especially in seasons of change, motherhood, creation, & growth.

My Rising Rituals

Mornings are when I connect most deeply to God, to gratitude, & to my body. The all that is.
I use to rise early before twins. before the sun, before the noise, around 4:45 a.m.
I stretch, move, & whisper a prayer:
“What is your will for me today, Lord?”

Some mornings I pull a few oracle cards or clear my energy with intention, calling in clarity & light. I often lay down to visualize my desired outcomes, yet keeping myself open to something better & divine light expanding from my heart, filling me with peace & purpose.

Before I dress or step into the world, I take a moment with my reflection. I speak love into my body:
“10 things I love about me.”
It’s a practice of gratitude, not perfection. It can feel uncomfortable in the beginning, especially is you do it in front of the mirror. (I highly recommend it). A way of remembering that my body is my ally. Remember, your cells are always listening to what you say.

Then I write my 3x3x3 gratitude list - three things for myself, three for my business, & three for others. Gratitude shifts everything.

I end my morning ritual with 20 minutes of meditation and a nourishing meal always grounding my food with a deep, grateful yummmmm before eating.
It’s simple, but powerful. Every bite becomes a prayer of presence.

My Evening Rituals

Evenings are for reflection & renewal.

I like to journal before bed. I reflect on my day and set the tone for tomorrow giving my day a direction, not just a to-do list. I write out what I want to accomplish the next day & read it three times, not from a place of pressure, but love. I imagine myself already in the energy of completion, feeling proud, grateful, & excited for what’s to come.

If anything heavy came up that day, an emotion, a thought, or a challenge. I take time to sit with it. I ask myself, "What is this trying to teach me?"
This inquiry is how I alchemize my emotions into wisdom.

Love Rituals — The Weekly Connection

My partner and I share what we call our weekly love meeting a grounding ritual for our relationship. It’s simple, but it’s become sacred:

  1. Compare our schedules for the week ahead.

  2. Ask, “Do you need support with anything?”

  3. Talk about intimacy - what we’re craving, needing, or celebrating.

  4. Bring forward anything left unsaid, with honesty & kindness.

  5. End with praise - acknowledging each other & ourselves.

These five steps have become the heartbeat of our communication. They keep us connected, seen, & supported even in the chaos of life. I wish we did these every week but lets be real, were not perfect & life is busy.

Creating rituals that ground you isn’t about control, it’s about communion.
It’s a way of honoring your energy, your spirit, & the life you’re consciously creating.

The truth is, peace doesn’t just happen. We cultivate it.
& every morning we rise, every evening we rest, we’re given another chance to make our days feel like prayer.

So begin where you are.
Breathe.
Light your candle.
& let your rituals bring you home, again & again.
