Pūpūkea Lux is a luxury ritual house born on the North Shore of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, created around a simple belief: the way we care for ourselves, our homes, and one another matters.
Inspired by the Hawaiian value of ʻohana, family in its many forms, Pūpūkea Lux creates intentional products and guided experiences designed to bring us back to presence, connection, remembrance, and what matters most.
Our handcrafted ritual candles and sensory objects serve as physical anchors for intention. They invite us to slow down, light a flame, create space, and turn an ordinary moment into something meaningful.
Through Hale by Pūpūkea Lux, the ritual continues beyond the physical product. Hale is our digital home for guided rituals, reflection, journaling, and experiences created to support the different seasons of life.

At the heart of Pūpūkea Lux is ʻohana.
Our Signature ʻOhana Collection honors the relationships that shape us: the nurturers, protectors, teachers, children, elders, friends, and loved ones whose presence becomes part of who we are.
Each candle carries its own scent, intention, and story, creating an opportunity to honor a relationship, hold a memory, give meaningfully, or create a ritual for the season you are moving through.
Because family is more than who surrounds us today. It is also where we come from, what we carry forward, and the love we remember.
CREATED WITH INTENTION
Every Pūpūkea Lux candle is intentionally made and finished by human hands.
From the ingredients we choose to the intention behind each piece, we believe how something is created matters.
Our candles are made in small batches using thoughtfully selected waxes, wooden wicks, and clean, phthalate free fragrances. Each batch is approached with care and prayer, allowing the making itself to become part of the ritual.
The details carry meaning, too. The ocean inspired blue within our candles reflects the waters surrounding our island home. Gold accents symbolize the treasures we discover within ourselves and how the surface of he ocean looks as the sunsets on the water. The shell at the center of our mark honors Pūpūkea, meaning “white shell,” and the North Shore place where this story began. To us, the white shell represents transformation and protection, a reminder of what we carry with us as we move through the seasons of life. Lux means light, the element at the heart of every ritual we create. Together, Pūpūkea Lux carries the meaning of transformation, protection, and light.

Luxury, to us, is not excess.

We thoughtfully consider the materials, ingredients, packaging, and life of each product beyond its first use. Reusable and renewable vessels, eco conscious materials, and minimal waste are part of our commitment to creating beautiful objects with greater care for the world around us.

Pūpūkea Lux began with candles, but the vision has always been larger than fragrance.
